The museum highlights individuals and families such as poets, philosophers, adventurers, shipowners, navigators, royal corsairs, merchants, and industrialists who contributed to this story. Discover items from Bordeaux families, including documents, prints, paintings, model ships, ship plans, nautical charts, and navigation instruments, tracing the port’s history from the Gallo-Roman era to today.
