Montserrat: Exclusive Sacristy & Black Madonna Guided Tour from Barcelona

À propos de cette expérience

Travel from Barcelona to Montserrat, a 1,000-year-old spiritual and cultural landmark. With your guide, explore the monastery grounds, including the main square, mountain viewpoints, and the basilica's exterior. Enter the basilica to see its decorated sanctuary, gilded details, and side chapels. Visit the Sacristy and restricted area behind the basilica, normally closed to the public. Learn about religious services, monastic life, and the monastery's traditions. You may see liturgical vestments associated with Pope John Paul II's visit. Discover the Escolania boys' choir and learn about its members' lives and musical training. If you select the choir option and it's available that day, return to the basilica to hear them sing. Visit the Black Madonna (La Moreneta), a 12th-century religious symbol of Catalonia, with direct access near the end of the route to reduce waiting time. Enjoy free time for lunch, shopping, photos, or exploration before returning to Barcelona.
