Visit the Baroque-style bell tower of the Church of St. Nicholas to learn about its history and multiple uses since its completion in 1755. Climb 215 steps of the brick spiral staircase to explore various rooms, including the former living quarters of the tower caretaker. Learn about the challenging life of the tower sentries, the tower's sewer system, and the historic bell installed in 1576. Find out how the tower was repurposed as an observation post by the secret police during the Communist era of the 1960s. Reach the top of the tower for views of the Lesser Town of Prague. You'll see famous landmarks and surrounding architecture from this high point.
